Harry is strongly supported both by the Conservative Party and the GOP, both of which have upcoming conventions. Wishing both groups the best in this important week!
From an article today in the Observer:
In the races for attorney general, comptroller and governor, Conservatives seem pretty clear who their candidates will be: Dan Donovan, Harry Wilson and Rick Lazio.

Harry's nomination was clinched today with the endorsement of the Nassau County Republican Party, which gave him more than 76% of the Republican vote going into next week's state convention in New York City.
(Candidates need 25% of the delegate vote at the Convention, and Harry's 76% effectively ensures that he will be the candidate.)
Congratulations to Harry for the big news, and thanks to all of you for your support!

"Queens Republicans are proud to endorse Harry Wilson for New York State Comptroller," said Queens County Republican Chairman Phil Ragusa. "New York State government has reached its breaking point; it must be restructured. Harry Wilson has the professional skills state taxpayers need to begin reorganizing their government in an intelligent and sustainable way."

The Democrat and Chronicle cites the upcoming convention as a battle zone, but Harry isn't part of that, having won the support of Republicans across the board. Here's an excerpt:
The party is in a pitched battle over its gubernatorial candidate and its challengers against Gillibrand and Schumer. The GOP has rallied around its comptroller candidate Harry Wilson of Scarsdale, Westchester County, and will likely back Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan for attorney general.
But after that, the Republicans' picture becomes clouded.
Harry recently had another article written on his qualifications to become the next New York State Comptroller. Here's an excerpt from the article:
"Wilson, a political newcomer, was in town Monday to receive the endorsement of Erie County Republicans but spent part of his day off the campaign trail at GM’s Town of Tonawanda engine plant.
'GM went through a near-death experience last year,' Wilson said after his visit to the plant. 'That’s the experience New York State is going to face unless we bite the bullet now.'"
Congratulations to Luke Vander Linden and Gene Berardelli, our top two Act.ivi.st leaders! Luke and Gene will be invited to a lunch with Harry as our first prize for our Act.ivi.st competition. We will continue to run our Act.ivi.st competition, so if you have not yet joined you can still help Harry's campaign while earning points and prizes. Thank you to all who have already participated and good luck in our on-going competition!
New York-May 17 - Erie County Republican Chairman Nicholas A. Langworthy today endorsed restructuring expert Harry J. Wilson (R) for New York State Comptroller. At a news conference at the Erie County Republican Committee Headquarters in Buffalo, Chairman Langworthy cited Wilson's business experience, restructuring know-how, and love of New York State as powerful attributes for the office of New York State Comptroller.
"New York State has a nine billion dollar deficit - and it's getting worse every day," said Chairman Langworthy. "The unelected comptroller in office now is directly to blame for the condition of this state - he voted for higher-taxes and higher spending for more than 20 years in the Assembly, and he has done virtually nothing as comptroller to demand fiscal responsibility from his former colleagues. Mr. Wilson, who is an Upstate New York native and who has personally witnessed the effects of higher taxes on much of the state, has extensive experience restructuring failing companies. When taxpayers learn of his skill set and passion for change, they will elect him comptroller."
"I'm proud to have Chairman Langworthy's support and encouragement in this race," Mr. Wilson said. "I am running for comptroller because my state needs to be fundamentally restructured, and restructuring is what I do best. I have analyzed the powers of the office of state comptroller and many of the problems facing this state, and I am confident that I can bring real change as the next state comptroller."
Mr. Wilson, 38, a graduate of Harvard University and the Harvard Business School, is a nationally recognized expert in corporate restructuring. After many successful years at four highly distinguished firms, he was selected to serve on the President's Auto Task Force in 2009 - the group responsible for the overhaul of General Motors and Chrysler. He was the only Republican to serve in its leadership team. Mr. Wilson, who was born and raised in Johnstown, NY (Fulton County), is the son and grandson of working class Greek immigrants. He was the first person in his immediate family to go to college. He currently lives in Westchester County with his wife, Eva, and their four children.

Recently Harry had another great article written about him and his campaign. The article does a great job at covering Harry's background and his qualifications for New York State Comptroller. Here's an excerpt from the article:
'"I'm entirely self-made," Wilson explained. "I grew up in an entirely working-class family. The combination of the grace of god and hard work got me where I am today, and I think a lot more New Yorkers identify with that story - and want that story to be true for their kids - than that of a career politician who's lived off the public his entire career and that's brought the state to its knees."'
We are reaching out to conservative bloggers all across the United States. Periodically, we will be highlighting these bloggers who volunteer their time to educate, influence, and participate in the American public sphere.
Today we're spotlighting John Brodigan. John recently wrote a fantastic entry about Harry that referenced The Capitol's recent article. John's blog is up to date on all things conservative- definitely a must-read to add to your daily blogs. Thanks for the great post John!
Have you joined Harry's Act.ivi.st page yet? This Saturday Harry will be announcing the top two winners of his Act.ivi.st page and those winners will be offered to join Harry for a lunch.
But that's not the only reason to join Act.ivi.st! We will continue our contests and prizes with Act.ivi.st after the two winners of this round are announced on Saturday and everyone will have the opportunity for more prizes and to continue helping Harry spread his message.
Recently Harry has received many endorsements from all over New York State. One endorsement this week came from Orange County Republican Chairman William DeProspo. In his endorsement of Harry, Mr. DeProspo said, "Harry Wilson stepped forward to help the federal government when it needed a top-notch restructuring expert to save General Motors; now he's stepping forward to help New York State government work through a terrible fiscal crisis."
